Meditation Got Me Through . . .

Why Meditation?

For Centuries many cultures around the world have used the art of meditation in numerous different ways. It has been used for ceremonies, rituals, health, wellness and right through to healing. In today’s modern world, science has proven that meditation can and does have a beneficial effect on our whole entire being, mentally, emotionally and yes, even physically. Along with scientists, there are doctors and psychologists that recommend doing meditation to assist with a large range of ailments.

More and more people these days are looking for natural and holistic ways of coping or dealing with life’s challenges. They are discovering old and ancient ways to incorporate into their hectic and sometimes overwhelming lifestyles. Finding what works best for them with the greatest benefits for their wellbeing. It is a well-known fact that meditation assists in the recovery of stress, anxiety, depression and ptsd, as well as many other conditions. These are a common side effect of our modern society. Meditation is one of the holistic methods that is very quickly rising with extremely high success rates.

It all begins with quietening the chatter in the mind, filtering out the noises around you, so you can go deep within yourself to find balance and focus. There are many different forms of meditation which benefit numerous conditions or situations, along with various levels of skills within the modality. You do not require any skills to begin. Just the willingness to try to relax and to be guided wherever this may take you. Meditation is sometimes referred to as a reprograming of your mind, it’s a way of retraining our mind to trigger the positive signals that our brain uses to take messages to the rest of our mind and body. It is not a quick-fix. You can think of it as an exercise program for your mind body spirit and soul. It is vitally as important to exercise our minds regularly, as it is our physical bodies. Healing on any level can begin from within first, no matter what condition you have.

Meditation got me through.

I have been through various levels of depression, stress and anxiety. I did consult my doctor & a psychologist. But the major breakthrough only came when I gave myself to meditation and my spiritual journey. Meditation was the key factor in pulling me up from the bottom of the abyss where I thought the very worst of myself.

At first, I started with short sessions in the privacy of my home as I couldn’t imagine doing this in a group, because the thought of that was stressful. There came a time though where the opportunity to sit in on a group meditation fell into my lap (you could say). I remember being so very nervous and even a little sick. But the room was dimmed, and I closed my eyes and it was incredible. I discovered that the energy of a group meditation was amazingly healing. I continued to go to group sessions as well as doing my own personal ones at home. I am living proof that Meditative Healing can and does work.

I am very passionate about it and I do get a little excited when encouraging people to try it. My passion and personal healing journey lead me to becoming a Meditation Teacher, running many different styles of meditations for both individuals and groups, both for health/wellness all the way through to spirituality. My greatest joy is watching people leave my sessions as if they are walking on a cloud (after they’d arrived in the beginning stressed). I feel very blessed to have the gift of helping others to heal and get their lives back on track, to teach them the tools of life that I’ve found to regain a positive outlook on life once again.

Maybe one day I will be able to help you too. I look forward to meeting you or seeing you again very soon in the Studio or Online for some amazing Meditative Journeys. Until then, please take care of yourself and remember to

SMILE it's GOOD for YOU .

Loving Light Leonie-May
